Top of high parapet: 244' (74.4m)
Top of low parapet: 230' (70m)

Pattern looks right, but missing the top level, left most window.

The total height of the building is 21 storeys but the tower is only 19.

The tower has 10 storeys below the cut, then 4 storeys of cut with rectangular windows and 5 more storeys of the patterned square windows.

My coworkers on this project saying PCL is about 3-4 weeks behind on the schedule, dunno why. It’s moving slow to start.

Has construction the residential tower started yet? From Portage Ave, I can only see the construction on the medical tower.

I assume WinCitySparky that you are talking about the medical tower that PCL is doing.

Bockstael is the contractor for the residential tower and I know that is/was supposed to start in the summer.

Don't live in Peg anymore, but eager to see this one within context on a visit sometime. I hadn't seen the other angles that are on page 1 until yesterday, but I can picture it much better now.

The WIP miniature of this is turning out surprisingly well considering the intricate pattern.

That looks really good, great job.

Arthrex assisting in new Winnipeg health-care facility
By: Free Press staff
Friday, Jun. 19, 2026

Global medical device company Arthrex is playing a role in the creation of Winnipeg’s new downtown health-care centre.

It’s been asked to help design the operating rooms and equipment found in the Health-Care Centre of Excellence, in the redeveloped Portage Place, said Arthrex founder Reinhold Schmieding.

He was in Winnipeg last month to receive the International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award, given by the Associates of the Asper School of Business, a University of Manitoba alumni group.

Arthrex has developed at least 25,600 surgical devices and implants. Its products are used in minimally invasive surgeries.

The company has worked for years with Dr. Peter MacDonald, an orthopaedic surgeon at Pan Am Clinic. The Pan Am will undergo an expansion in the new downtown centre.

In a statement, MacDonald said Pan Am Clinic continues to work with partners including Arthrex.

Neither he nor True North Real Estate Development, who’s leading the facility’s creation, provided further details.

The 300,000-square-foot centre has a target completion date of 2028, per a 2024 announcement timeline.

Haven't put in the building request, been super busy. If someone is able to put in the building request, though, Vike has the stats here

Buried deep in the ChrisD coverage of the provincal government's grocery affordability announcement yesterday (June 22) is a mention that they have heard RRC may be opening a grocery store and pharmacy in Portage Place. If that happens it likely also means that Weston owned Shoppers ends its presence in the mall which would effective bring an end to a 4+ decades presence downtown on Portage for the brand.

I can think of a few main floor vacancies across the street or down the block if they're interested in sticking around on Portage Ave.
