Same here, but prefer the balcony to be mostly recessed inwards - and it’s more like a covered porch.

So agree. Exactly. 900' up on The Waterline would not be a problem because it would feel enclosed by three walls like a covered porch. The open sides and front of The Travis would be scary on such small balconies especially without any other balconies on that side of the building. Yikes...

My brother did the rock climbing with the ropes, in the family, when young. I did the bouldering! That was fun. Sitting on an exposed, jutting out balcony at 500', not so much.

It’s only scary the first time. But I am wondering if they would make handrails taller in cases like this.

Being that it will eventually be blocked by whatever goes there, I doubt it will get covered.

This slowly progressing project now has a website for future renters. But it's only for getting on a waiting list for updates.

Good to know. This one has been the laggard of the recent Rainey towers as far as an opening date.

I don't know the concrete answer to this, but I'd be very surprised if they couldn't stick with this schedule.

The progress on this has been significantly slower than the Waterline and Paseo, and it seems like they've been sitting at "95-98% complete" for several months now. I have to imagine that this was an intentional business move, since opening up any time before then would mean incoming residents of their shiny new building are surrounded on all sides by active construction at the Waterline, Paseo, and the MACC (not to mention Waller creek, the convention center, and I-35...).

I think the timeline for a lot of Rainey street projects pretty much boils down to "3-4 months from now, ideally by the end of the year."

Guess we can just say sometime this year for this one. Appears move-in ready but no leasing has begun. I wonder what's the hiccup.
