Yes, thats the the ground load gates I was referencing. They added a net of 2 "gates" (one PLB was sacrificed for the new ground load facility) for a total of 3 ground load gates. Pre-Construction, SAT had a total of 27 gates. Once the new Terminal is complete, along with the ground load facility and pre- terminal A modifications that have yet to be announced, the airport will have a total of 45 gates. Terminal A with 19, B with 8 and the new terminal C with 18. Prior to Southwest and the airport coming to an agreement on gates in the new C and on existing B, it was proposed to reconfigure terminal A down to 10 gates (not including the ground load facility) for southwest, but now that Southwest will be out of Terminal A completely, its unknown if the reconfiguration down to 10 gates will happen or if they'll just leave A with its same gate number to accommodate growth with other airlines.
