10-20 Empress Ave | 15m | 4f | U/C

Henry Investments & Dalhousie Non-Profit Housing Co-operative is proposing to develop a four-storey apartment building at 10-20 Empress Avenue. The proposed building will contain a total of 41 units, with 17 one bedroom units, 17 two bedroom units, and 7 three bedroom units. A total of 16 parking spaces will be provided, with three visitor parking spaces and 13 resident parking spaces located in the underground parking garage. A drop-off space will be provided along Perkins Street. 42 bicycle parking spaces will be provided in the underground parking garage, with two additional bicycle parking spaces located near the main entrance of the building.

The site currently contains two two-storey buildings with a total of six townhouse dwellings.

Really like the look of this one but agree, wish it was a couple more stories high. Its a prime location for affordable housing.

I'm not sure where I've see posts previously, but the housing project on Empress Ave, across from the Good Companions Centre, seems to be moving forward quickly. The (surprisingly large) site has been cleared and shoring has been put in and excavator is now on site. I think this is an affordable housing project, perhaps a co-op?

You can never go wrong with red brick and black windows IMO! Looks beautiful!

Indeed. Was at the Bayview Yards spot briefly for Doors Open Ottawa on Saturday and its pretty much proof in the pudding that its a near 100 year old look that doesn't fade.
