Yup and awesome news as it means that their Western expansion is continuing and we should expect YVR, YYJ, YYC, YLM (maybe)? soon.

I recently got their MC for point accumulation and it is loading up fast! Can't wait to try a few of these next winter.

This is great. I like that Porter is increasing their network across the country.

Looks like runway 12/30 at YEG is getting a CATIII as part of the new ICH.

Wonder where the DND hangers will be located which runway will they use. Is there the possibility this might kickstart runway 3?

They are nowhere close to needing a 3rd runway.. Hangers are to be south of runway 12/30, and they will use all the runways

Not sure where to put this, so I guess this thread, as its Airport Adjancent.

Quote:
Leduc County will be developing an area structure plan for the lands directly west of the YEG (Edmonton International Airport), north of Highway 39 and south of Highway 19. The subject area encompasses 60 parcels of land totaling roughly 4,600 acres. This land, dubbed Whitemud Landing, is the focus of the County’s future land supply needs to support non-residential development and future employment to promote a diverse and stable economy. This is a long-term plan that will be developed in phases. Agricultural use will be maintained until development occurs.

Be nice to see a better map showing where this is relative to the West side of YEG. I imagine Devon and Edmonton may have some concerns not to mention YEG.

Same is happening to the YYC-SEA RON aircraft.

As I posted over on the YYC page.

SEA is out of RON space for both AS/QX and DL. They have to take some RON aircraft and fly them to closeby places in order to have feed for their mid-morning departure bank.
