Some good news with Davwire landing contract to make wiring system for Twin Otter aircraft.

Davwire, located on Wilton Grove Road, will provide DeHavilland Aircraft of Canada with electrical wiring systems for its popular Twin Otter aircraft.

Future contracts are possible on the River class Navy destroyer project.

Nice to see NP doing well. I remember picking up a few trailer loads of ballistic plates from them going to Ukraine early in the war.

I'll offer a somewhat different perspective: Because such a significant part of the economy in this part of the nation has morphed into an export-dependent entity over the past 30 years, the current situation was inevitable if the international situation changed for the worse, and it would be a small victory if the unemployment rate doesn't ultimately exceed 10 or 15 percent if the trade situation remains as it currently is. That's small comfort for those caught up in the situation, but nonetheless.

Another small comfort is that this can be a learning experience: don't rely on other nations to remain reliable friends forever. Things always change. Be self reliant in critical matters.

This is very true, this was coming at some point in some capacity. The orange man just changed the dynamic much quicker that anyone would have expected.
I do think long term this helps Canada as a whole, hopefully it builds new relationships and avenues for where many of our manufactures sell products, import goods, etc.

This is a good news story. Hopefully this company has success with their robotic food making systems. The technology being developed could find its way into other sectors.
