GUELPH| Construction and Development Thread

70 Fountain Street East, approved for 16 floors by the OLT in 2023, is now looking to go to 24 floors (20 tower on 4 podium), 424 rental units and 95 parking space. Owned by Conestoga College so will (likely) be geared for students (205 studio units, 69 one-bedroom units, 85 two-bedroom units, 60 three-bedroom units and five townhouses in the podium space) -- with much better design IMO

The proposal for 115 Watson Pky. N. – located at the end of Starwood Drive and commonly referred to as the former Loblaw lands – would see the creation of four mixed use buildings ranging in height between nine and 14 storeys tall. They are to include 928 apartment units and 2,750 square metres of ground floor commercial space.

Danby's CEO has turned to the province for help bringing a $100-million shared headquarters proposed on the north edge of Puslinch to fruition.

If approved, Danby Canada and the Upper Canada Forest Group, a Mississauga speciality wood products distributor, would be a step closer to constructing a large-scale prestige employment development with manufacturing, warehousing, an accessory office and retail and associated uses at 4631 Sideroad 20 North.

City staff recommend 24s building in Guelph which would be tallest in the city if built.

If approved, the 24-storey building on 70 Fountain St. E. would contain 415-purpose built rental units targeted towards students, along with five stacked townhouses.
