Here's Daniel's eyesore, one of them are accessible-made condos, the smaller one is a tower of rental units, bought by the region a few months ago as affordable housing.

Major residential development at Mississauga mall goes to the OLT.

A huge development proposal at a Mississauga mall is going to the Ontario Land Tribunal.

Proposed for 5100 Erin Mills Parkway, the multi-phased development envisions nine towers ranging from 20 to 44 storeys with a total of 3,162 residential units at Erin Mills Town Centre.

The long-awaited demolition of four vacant Burlington homes at Brant Street and Churchill Avenue has taken place, with the property owners working to prepare applications for an 11-storey residential building there.

Removal of 1069, 1073, 1077 Brant St. and 2015 Churchill Ave. was substantially completed on Friday, April 24, after getting underway a couple of days earlier. Cleanup and removal of debris was ongoing as of Tuesday, April 28.

Kleo Isaias, president and a director of two companies that own the properties, said the ownership group intends to build an 11-storey building with what he said would be “a large percentage of affordable units.”

It's interesting to see how many new projects are being proposed across the 905. Canada actually needs a lot more homes in the coming years, which helps explain the push for more condos and higher-density developments.
