We had some nice sunny break before the thunderstorm late this afternoon. As result, we reached a high of 21C. Not too bad even if it's still below normal.

Low of 12C this morning. Crappy and Grey. Not very good conditions to wake up to.

The warmspot was Jenpeg, MB at 33.1C.

Warmest low yesterday was Winnipeg (the Forks), MB at 22.0C. New highest low this year in the country. Impressive for May.

Did i read that Moncton froze last night? Holy fuck!
If we don't get a massive heat wave soon things might start looking like 1816 all over again for eastern Canada. It's been that severe/bad the last 8 months.

Warm, sunny, dry and breezy.

Sunday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 20 C (21 C w/Humidex), the low was 11 C.

6C and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM (although it feels considerably warmer than that). The winds are calm and there is a lot of radiational warmth to the brilliant sunshine.

The omega block is rapidly weakening. Up to 17C this afternoon. It will be as warm as 27C by Thursday.

It's mostly sunny and 7.7 at 8 am and heading up to 15 today. We're heading in the right direction. The path of the jet stream remains bizarre.

It's not actually snowing but some of those raindrops were suspiciously slow-falling on the morning commute.

Rivers are getting very high west of Calgary, think the city will be safe but still a possibility of flooding in Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise and a bunch of other spots.

Sunshine Village had 26cm yesterday, still looks like mid winter up there.

Solid SE breeze keeping Toronto cool today, currently 19. Still all blue skies and dry air.

Warmer pattern starts tomorrow with humidity entering the scene by late in the week, with some scattered rain (maybe storms?) over the weekend.

6 days:

25/27/29/27/25/25

May finished below average; that makes 5 of the last 7 months coming in colder than normal. Right around seasonal in terms of precipitation (more than half falling on one day, so it felt drier overall)

Hi: 18.3 (-0.9)
Low: 7.5 (-0.7)
Mean: 12.9 (-0.8)

Rain: 70.7mm (-6.9)

Rain. Just so much rain. And more tomorrow, and more the next day—I don't think we'll see the sun until Thursday, when it will be a mix of sun and cloud and 22. Friday 21 partly cloudy AND....more rain. 21 Saturday and then, if the forecast holds, rain again on Sunday and only 17. Our awful spring continues.

I wouldn't say rain is awful - I'd take lots of rain over too much dry and drought any year. Our last few springs have been too dry, so this is actually welcome, albeit too much over the span of just a couple of days.

By tomorrow evening, I won't be surprised if we have received our average June rainfall in the span of just three days, which is crazy because June is our second rainiest month (July is first).

21C and sunny. Once again, it is a fine day. But a below normal one. If there was justice, we wouldn't have a below normal day again this year... like at all.

Low of 8C this morning. Any single digit morning at this time of the year is considered chilly.

The warmspot was Norway House, MB at 32.5C.

Warmest low yesterday was Snow Lake, MB at 19.0C.

If it's any consolation the forecast for the week ahead looks pretty good and entirely above average!

9C and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM, going up to 18C this afternoon with showers and thunderstorms.

Next six days will be 21-29C and wall to wall sunshine.

Omega block is gone baby!!!

It's bone dry in Toronto. 25 and sunny, dew point of 3.0.

No measurable rain in over a week now, and none until Saturday. Even then, EC has only 40% in the forecast.

25C and sunny. Blue sky AND above average day. I cannot believe it.

Low of 11C this morning. I believe the island of Montreal was the only place that remained in double digits across a big area. Even as far south as Albany, NY, morning low fell to about 7C.

The warmspot was Pemberton, BC at 32.2C.

Warmest low yesterday Snow Lake, MB at 18.9C.

Was near 30 on the BC coast today, but unsettled weather with coming for the next week, and Montreal is heating up!
