No need to apologize, because it is the truth. Toronto stands head and shoulders above Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary when it comes to the sheer scale of the skyline.
Only bettered by New York City and Chicago, although Toronto may eventually surpass the latter in terms of skyline scale (but probably not in terms of skyline quality).
Toronto has about twice as many tall buildings (100m+) as Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver combined.

I've always thought Ottawa was an underrated city, I suppose the extra scrutiny and expectations it has being the national capital and then perhaps being in the shadow of Toronto doesn't help.
There is something about the scale of Montreal's buildings that can make it look smaller.
People talk about building heights a lot but not the size or square footage of buildings so much. Sun Life in Montreal is not that tall but has over 1 million square feet of space. It's probably more than double the size of the largest Vancouver office tower, and significantly larger than any residential or mixed-use building here. Place Ville Marie is big too.
Having those larger buildings, I think, makes things look smaller sometimes. In these aerials you tend to perceive the mix of buildings or relative scales more than absolute size, which is very hard to judge. It is different when you are there in person.
Not sure …you thought Montreal was small? I don’t understand your comment.
Of course you don't understand. You're blinded by homerism. Not everything is a competition based insult. It's all in your conclusion. Bigger than usual means small.
