It's fascinating that in the not too distant future, New York will have 3 bespoke supertalls that are wholly designed for a single tenant. I can't think of any other city in the world where something like that would happen.

That is almost as beautiful as Christie Brinkley in her prime.

Looks like they're really gutting the place! Who would have thought office gore could be such a welcome sight

This has become routine for us, but no less exciting.

More information regarding the easement with 477 Madison (which is on the same lot) and other mechanical information on the upper floors filed with the DOB...

So has this grown to 1,450?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Citadel occupies the whole building, but the demand for any space that Citadel does not occupy will be unparalleled. This is a better location than 625 Madison.

It does say "approximately" 1,450', but cool if it grew!

On a random note wasn't the building being torn down in Seinfeld? I guess there are a lot that look like in Midtown, so maybe I'm mistaken.

Ever since the height cut it's always been 64-66 floors per NYYimby, I requested a title update here but that never happened.

Could be a height bump or poor reporting. 1,450' would make it noticeably taller than its neighbors though.

Park Avenue is going to be even more iconic between this extraordinary tower and the new medians.

The title wasnt updated because what is described as 64-66 floor is not what SSP documents in the titles, the building still has 61 stories, the 62 being the roof, that has not changed. Stories are not the same as levels are not the same as floors. DOB does not consider a roof a story, but it is documented here on the title(s) to include it.

The building has 64-66 "floors" depending on how you count them but it still has 61 stories.

TKD:

Someone said that Related is looking for more air rights at 625 Madison. If that’s true, can it be taller than 800’?

Also, how many feet tall do you think that Extell’s 570 Fifth will be?

Hmm, there was a diagram / cutaway on NYY showing 64 office floors and 66 counting mechanical (which for any building usually counts), I'll try to dig it up.

I think they added more floors to the smaller version due to tweaked ceiling heights. The original was 62 total IIRC.

Probably not. At least they haven't updated anything in the new building permit as of yet.
