Yeah I was surprised to hear it’s that early. I’ve been I think 9 times. Some time in the mid or late 90s I experienced race day with like a high of ten and it was grey. It was the only time we got grandstand seats and the wind up there was awful. We spent half the time in GA on the ground. We had light jackets only.

Way back in the day it was held late September many years and even as late as second week of October.

Yea, they pushed it a couple of weeks early so it's right after Miami and they do the 1st North American leg at once.

20C and sunny today. Not a bad day although slightly cooler than normal.

Low of 5C this morning. Yikes it was cold.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 30.1C.

Warmest low yesterday was Pam Rocks, BC at 13.1C.

Hot sun in Victoria yesterday (and I presume again today). Looking a lot more summery now than the mainland is - blossoms are farther ahead, and grass is looking very yellow.

Interesting to see the FIFA advertising appearing in the Vancouver pics - reminds me of looking back at old Vancouver photos and seeing all the Expo 86 signage.

MonkeyRonin in Victoria - hope you had a great day! I'm not sure what's left to blossom or leaf out, looks to be all done. Yes, the grass is now quite yellow as usually happens before the end of May, this year it was noticeable by mid-May. I read a comment somewhere that I never considered before, but makes sense - Victoria has two springs. The second being in October when the rains return and the grass begins to turn green again and there are new flowers. It's the opposite of most of Canada where summer is when the grass is green - here the grass (unwatered areas) goes dormant sometime in May until early October or late September if we're blessed with early rain and stays green all 'winter'.

Low of 8C this morning. Clouded up earlier than what they forecasted.

The warmspot was Garden River, AB at 29.4C.

Warmest low yesterday was Entrance Island, BC at 14.9C.

13C and sunny in Moncton at 9 AM, going up to 22C this afternoon.

Rain tomorrow, but it is necessary. We are still operating on a rainfall deficit from last year, and snowfall this winter was well below normal.

13C cloudy. Some wind to go with it. What is wrong with the climate? It's like we are entering a new ice age. I am still waiting on the "monster" heat Metro promised lol.

Low of 11C this morning and rainy. Pathetic.

The warmspot was Yellow Grass North, SK at 30.0C.

Warmest low yesterday was Lytton, BC at 16.5C.

12C and mostly cloudy in Moncton at 9 AM. Rain is imminent. Radar shows it licking the southern suburbs of the city. It will be a soggy day.

Sunday was mostly overcast with a bit of sun peeking through earlier on. Things are getting very dry.
Vancouver might be moving to stage 3 water restrictions very soon. "The last time Metro Vancouver was under Stage 3 water restrictions was in July 2015, nearly 11 years ago."

Sunday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 20 C, the low was 12 C.
