I can't help but look at this and say this is what Toronto EASILY could have done for the Eglinton Line. At LEAST east of Laird could have been elevated.

When is the guideway construction due to be finished? with track going down so fast, we could be into besting by end of 2027 hopefully.

I estimate by end of this year.

Some areas don't even have columns up yet for the guideway - between Willowbrook and Industrial Ave. for example.

Official schedule says July 2027 (I think that was the date when the project was first announced?) and considering they were 1/4 done in April with varying start times I'm guessing late spring at the earliest?

They also said they just finished producing 50% of the segments at the precast plant so I guess everything currently in the yard needs to be installed to reach 50%.

If one gantry finishes earlier like the surrey sprinter I wonder if they will move it to the opposite end point of the clayton clipper or langley launcher so they can finish those sections faster.

How long would it take to dismantle and move and set up again. I don't think it will happen but that is my guess.

There's probably no benefit to finishing a section of guideway earlier since they'll still need to wait on all the rail/power rail equipment to be installed. I guess the only reason they would do that is to open a section or road quicker or to catch up if a gantry was out of commission for an extended period of time.

After about a month of building the elevated guideway within the Fleetwood and Clayton stations, the Fleetwood Flyer and Langley Launcher gantries have now left the stations. As of last Friday, Surrey Sprinter is 1 span shy of 144 St and Clayton Clipper is near 181 St having transitioned onto the center running alignment.

I was watching a new drone video of the guideway construction and it seems like the stretch over that large road near the Green Timbers power propulsion building will use steel box girder beam. There's a some shear studs (?) where the beams will connect in the pierhead.

I'm not sure if that's the case, they're the typical tulip columns. Certainly will be a special segment, it's about a 60m span. Those slabs poured on eigther side of those two columns are unique.

The slabs around those columns were put in this month and they seem fairly shallow. You can see one of them being formed in this drive by video around the 26:00 mark
