This is the busiest intersection in the city, and instead of taking the time to expand it they are actually taking some lanes out. There won't be a third through lane on Wellington SB for example.
For these businesses- hopefully the pain will be worth it, however the BRT will block left turns where there are currently no medians. Customers will need to U-turn at the lights, making those queues even longer.
Then again, the BRT is supposed to take some cars off the road. Let's hope that actually happens to lower traffic volumes.
