Yeah, I am super pleased with this. I was a big doubter and I couldn't be happier that I am wrong. The setbacks elevate the entire building. I worried that central portion of the tower was boring but man the setbacks really make it work. I want the second tower built ASAP. Fingers crossed.

Also, the park is really going to make the whole even better. I cannot believe that there will be a park. Yet it is designed and I think funded. I lived in Chicago for 33 years (and will be back) but that park just has never happened.

Yes, that park sill be so cool, and I really hope 2nd tower is built. This one looks better than I thought, but the almost straight-on view of the south elevation (Like driving north on LSD of from Adler) looks a little thick, BUT, the second tower should mitigate that as it'll be turned out towards those views.

Too funny. I was in that space when it was raw I had to shoot the views so they could create some interior renderings with a view...wonder if that photo sone of them, haha. It was massive. And would have been a daunting project for someone to build-out 100%

I see we are getting political with our composition. Personally, I like the shot.

The affordable website is live and lists an artist preference, "welcoming residents whose work spans from graphic design, performing arts, photography, architecture, and beyond."

Those angles make it look so stubby. I can’t imagine how stubby the south tower is going to look…

Just saw Related repost this article on Linkedin.

The interesting part is what's in the second paragraph. It's probably a typo, but just maybe there's some news here...

Quote:
The first of two planned towers is rising on land that formerly was the site of The Spire, a massive twisting residential tower that never got built due to the 2008 financial crisis. Each is expected to stand nearly 900 ft tall. They will house rental apartments—some designated as affordable housing—and offer panoramic views of the city, lake and river from a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units.

ENR Midwest has made countless errors in the past. Take that with a grain of salt.
