In theory, it sets a bad precedent... in practice, it's a goose turd repository that turns muddy when it rains, and will probably not be missed much.

Interesting that Parkview Tower didn’t really lose that much in views as the wings are angled away from the new buildings.

Now all that's missing are the plants hanging from every balcony like in the renders LOL

Newer renders just show random planters with short trees on them.

It's interesting that rendering uses European style traffic signs

wonder what the big appeal is, I guess as you mention this isn't a contract or anything, probably just 12000 curious people wondering if it will be a bargain

Initial interest is probably because of location in Kits near the beach.
I doubt there's a lot of inventory in Kitsilano near the beach.
Pricing will probably deter a lot of those.

Peterson got a loan for Glen Drive
Rize Alliance Properties and Pioneer Investments got a loan for East 19th
Grosvenor got a loan for Brentwood
Tat Jang got a loan for Shaughnessy Gardens on West King Edward
Intracorp got a loan for Telford on the Walk
UBC Properties Trust got loans for four at least different buildings
Mosaic got loans for Lynn Valley in North Vancouver, and for two buildings on East Hastings
Cressey got a loan for Conrad on East 18th

There may be more. Concord or Holborn should also potentially be able to get a loan, if they met the criteria for getting one.
It's substantially more difficult to be approved under the ACLP than going through the MLI Select program. Qualifying under the criteria is not the issue, it's getting CMHC to buy in to the 'social' and other impact that takes work, hence my comment about it being a beauty pageant.

No doubt DRIPA is a greater issue than them putting a pop-up sales centre on City land. That doesn't change the fact it's a bad look and should be called out.

Or perhaps more succinctly, pricing per sq/ft.

Thanks for the explanation.

DP for the Welcome Centre

There's some relocated monument sign facing Chestnut. Not sure if that's the totem pole or not.

The trigons really tie the building together, I wish they'd kept them up the entire facade of the building.

Iconic. It'll be cool to see the tallest one that is yet to be built
