Edmonton reminds me of Winnipeg, with towers being very spread out. Baseball stadium has a somewhat similar placement, modern while bridge (though not the same style).

Sure, but no source post 1900 I've seen has ever called a 12 storey building a skyscraper.

Canadian cities like Toronto/ Vancouver have grown beyond suburban slabs. There are post 2010 skyscrapers that contribute nothing to the main skyline. Toronto eventually surpassing Chicago reliant on suburban skyscraper people warehouses is just a fun statistic. It's not generating skyline.

To me any building over 300ft "scrapes the sky" as back in the day it was roughly one storey for every 10ft or nearly 30 storey/floor buildings.

But for metric standards, I'll accept 100m/~328 feet

Hopefully, when that gets developed they build something pedestrian forward, finely grained, and urban. Perhaps a 21st century version of Winnipeg's Exchange District but with less road, wider sidewalks, and a pedestrian embankment? They'll probably just put in nondescript blocks of glass, 8 foot concrete sidewalks, and overbuilt car infrastructure though.

That Montreal pic's angle gives us a view of some towers that are rarely seen on skyline threads. Looking at the AC Marriott/Allegra looking tiny yet as tall as Ottawa's tallest up until 2022 (Place de Ville C). Even our new tallest in the Downtown/LeBreton area is in between the AC and Courtyard next door.

On the right is one of our main water treatment plants.

The historic Rossdale power plant just had an RFI out to interested parties for adaptive reuse and the pump station next to the bridge is being converted into a cafe/restaurant.

On the left is mostly City owner land that's currently being rezoned and receiving infrastructure upgrades and will come to market soon.

There is also a lot of history on these said lands with burial sites.

It's Edmonton's missing piece and could be our Forks, Granville, Distillery, etc. etc. and really create a new unique destination.
