DETROIT | Henry Ford Hospital Tower | 376 FT | 21 FLOORS

Quote:
The Developers, consisting of Henry Ford Health, Michigan State University, and the Detroit Pistons, propose a sweeping community development that brings connectivity between Henry Ford’s hospital campus footprint to the north and south of West Grand Boulevard while transforming the section of New Center which currently houses the headquarters of both Henry Ford Health System and the Detroit Pistons.

The proposed projects consist of integrated parking plans, health care/research/laboratory space, retail/commercial space and mixed-income residential units including:

Major expansion of Henry Ford Hospital with new 1 million+ sq ft patient tower, expanded emergency department, support services, and utility infrastructure

In a recent Crains article it was revealed the building will be 21 floors. In a CBO meeting they also stated it will be around the height of the Fisher building, so around 450’.

Someone shared these screenshots from the DetroitYES forums. It apparently came from the CBO meeting last week.

Groundbreaking occurred early last month. Patient tower is 20-floors. Expected completion date is 2029.

These are the most recent renders.

If so, that will make it the 14th tallest tower in Detroit only 1 foot taller than the DTE building downtown.

It'll still be 50 feet shorter than the Fisher Building down the street, but because of the Fisher Building's tapered roof, this tower will look roughly equal in height, at least from a distance.

In any case, 376 makes it about 100 feet taller than the original Henry Ford hospital tower (also known as the Clinic building).

This one has been under construction for while now. Please move out of proposal.

17th tallest but still by far the second tallest building north of downtown. The Fisher building's green taper begins at around 385 feet when eyeballing Detroit's building diagram. It's also much wider and is located on the other side of the Lodge, so it will definitely be comparable.
