Western Open Space plan looks at cutting cross campus routes for vehicles.

Open Space Plan would limit traffic on some campus roads to bus, pedestrian and bike traffic.

Good news for people that like to double their commuting time, and great for the environment as thousands of cars can idle even longer on the approach roads to UWO.

yeah, let's all just take the bus (which also just sits there for 30 minutes, stuck in traffic).

Anyone remember how horrible it was last year when Western closed thru-traffic due to striking workers?

I have spent half my fucking life stuck in traffic on Western road.

Oh and remember how Western helped kill the plan for LRT in London? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Want to divert traffic from going through Western? Build a bridge connecting Sarina/Philip Aziz to Huron Street.

Until a decent alternative exists, people are going to try and cut through campus.

Has this ever been seriously discussed, it would seem like the best case scenario and as you mention until a better option exists people will continue to do what they have for years to save time driving around in stop and go traffic.

What a better time to do it when they are in the process of updating the road and intersection.

Absolutely. Just imagine how efficient that would be, instead of having to snake through UWO's campus.

(b) The installation of the following pedestrian signals BE APPROVED:
