15C today. Cleared up around 3PM. As a result the peak temperature was achieved at 6PM instead of the usual 4-5.

Some Canada Goose "in the wild" (funny enough, sun poked through about 15 min after these pics).

Low of 3C last night and rain. Apparently Trudeau airport is showing a thunderstorm at 4AM. I did not hear anything so not sure how valid this is.

The warmspot was Hamilton, ON at 25.8C. First 25C in Canada this year.

Warmest low yesterday was Race Rocks, BC at 6.8C.

Humidex of 29 in Vineland, Hamilton and St. Catharines, ON
Highest such this year.

Latest storm is ramping up. Even the yellow Jiffy cab was struggling to get up my street.

License plates from St. Pierre et Miquelon weren't rare here before, but since they've upgraded their ferries, the number of their French citizens driving here instead of flying is way up. The percentage of North American vehicles from SPM here, compared to the much lower percentage they represent on SPM, intrigues me. Are people who buy a North American vehicle more likely to want to drive here, perhaps? Or is there some regulation that makes it easier or cheaper if you don't bring you European car?

And, adorably, they park on either side of the street here like they do at home. Hopefully they don't back up where parallel parking until they tap the car behind like at home lol

I/ve seen SPM plates in Moncton exactly twice since I moved here in 1989. Once the plate was European style, the other time North American style.

In some ways I would have thought these occurrences would be more frequent since Moncton is the francophone capital of Atlantic Canada, but, Moncton is relatively inaccessible (two ferry rides and probably 1200 km of driving). I suppose if you are going to get your North American francophone fix you might just as well go to Quebec City or Montreal.

-3C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 11 PM. The high temperature today was 0.0C at 5 PM.

Snow mixed with ice pellets tomorrow beginning around 9 AM, lasting several hours before transitioning to rain. An eventual high temperature tomorrow of +7C.

This might be our last snow of the season (vainly hoping). The upcoming week will be substantially above zero for daily highs, peaking at +13C on Friday. Could spring actually be here???

Low of 1C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 21.1C.

Warmest low yesterday was Lytton and Vancouver (Harbour), BC at 7.9C.

-2C and light snow in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to +7C later today.

Leaving for a quickie road trip to Halifax in about an hour for Easter dinner. Hopefully the roads will be OK. Looking out the window, there is essentially no accumulation on the street. My biggest concern is freezing rain. It should warm up as I drive along.

Horrible drive down to Halifax and back yesterday.

Rain, dense fog and high winds most of the way. It's a bit unusual to have high winds and fog together at the same time. Weather was dodgy in particular over the Cobequid Pass (fog was worst here, and, the temperatures are always a couple of degrees colder due to elevation gain). As such, on the way down, the temperatures dipped to the freezing point, and I was concerned about freezing rain.

Nevertheless, I survived, but the drive was not pleasant.

Currently +4C at 9 AM in Moncton and mostly cloud, going up to +7C this afternoon. The upcoming week will be mostly sunny with seasonal temperatures.

A mixed bag a weather over the weekend. Started with Snow Friday then 8 Sat down to 2 yesterday. Temps are going back up by Friday to 12.

Below average today, currently 5 and overcast.

An observation in Toronto and surrounding areas: the grass is stunningly green everywhere. We've received over 50mm of rain in the last week.

March finished above average by 1.3 degrees - our first above average month since October. Will be interesting to see what happens with April. The long term models show us above average, but the cold lakes always seem to keep us a bit below whatever the forecast is calling for.
