I would love that job! In this case it would be awesome as you typically have to go on site for structural confirmation

NYC’s Real Estate Future Hinges on Development Incentives, Safety: Panelists
BY AMANDA SCHIAVO
MARCH 20, 2026

Quote:
”This event not only serves as a definitive State of the Union event for New York and its real estate industry, but offers very candid insights from the real estate executives and policymakers that are directing the future of New York,” Gross said in his opening remarks. “Today, you’ll hear from real estate and policy experts on everything from how the industry is working to build on momentum for economic growth in the new mayoral administration, to how many developments like 350 Park Avenue are transforming our New York City skyline.”
Quote:
Residential development wasn’t the only topic at CO’s Future of New York event. Office development was also top of mind, particularly the development of the planned supertall tower coming to Midtown Manhattan at 350 Park Avenue. The building, a joint venture between Vornado Realty Trust and Rudin, in collaboration with Ken Griffin’s Citadel — which will anchor the building — is expected to be delivered in 2032.
Quote:
Paul Darrah, chief workplace officer for Citadel, and Barry Langer, executive vice president of development and co-head of real estate at Vornado, spoke with Jonathan Mechanic, chairman of real estate at law firm Fried Frank, about the progress of the project and the importance of highly amenitized Class A office development in the post-COVID workplace.

“Workplaces have gotten denser,” Langer said. “The ability for you as an employee to get up from your desk, go to an amenity space, go outside to a terrace, and go down to a coffee shop — it is all about how the next generation really wants to work. Having outdoor spaces that are actually usable, shielded from the wind, shielded from the sun, and proper places to put down a laptop makes them much more usable than just having a beautiful landscaping plan.”

This is going to be iconic. I also can’t wait for the new medians.

Isn’t this tower going to be like 270 Park to the extent that they can reuse the existing foundations?

To an extent probably, but the foundation for this building will obviously need to be way deeper.

I wonder if the 68 floors is a typo, counting below ground or if she regained a bit of height.

They count mechanical levels that the DOB considers to be roof levels, similar to 270 Park. BTW, this tower will be of similar height to 270 Park. But I don't think they will be reusing the foundations. There will be some alignment with existing columns on a portion of the site though.

Industry experts gathered at Commercial Observer and REBNY (Real Estate Board of New York)’s Future of New York Forum to discuss the city’s economic outlook and the real estate projects defining it.

Vornado Realty Trust joined the keynote conversation, highlighting market trends and the vision behind transformative developments like 350 Park Avenue.

The discussion underscored a shared commitment to thoughtful development, long-term investment, and the continued strength of New York City.

I’m curious to see a rendering of the shortened version.

We studied John Maynard Keynes in Sheboygan High School. That knowledge was useful for administering 4H events during years when agricultural crises prevailed.

I don’t mean to brag, but I won the sheep shearing contest several years in a row. Jason (of Argonaut fame) would have been impressed.

Iconic is a stretch. Its got a basic design and it's not significantly bigger than its neighbors, especially future neighbors like 175 Park.
As for the medians, yeah I can't wait. Park Avenue is gonna be one of the best streets in Manhattan to walk down after all the renovations.
