It would be really excellent if the developers of the new project had the architect plan to reincorporate the most ornate element of 1495 Third Av, the large arch. The corner building isn't really unique or exceptional in any way and I don't have a particular issue with it being demolished assuming the replacement project will be extremely high quality.
