Took a pic of 626 S Wabash yesterday!

The view from the basketball court is gonna be so dope. I'd be even worse at basketball than I already am.

As promised

I have a more in depth post on the project page, but if anyone who has access to permit records can see if this is connected to the Shapack development it would be much appreciated

EDIT if the picture is not displaying properly, the Building Permit # is B200448716

2800 N. Sheridan

According to Urbanize, the project at 2800 N. Sheridan has a new version that's taller with more units as well as a health club and medical office space.

24 stories -> 28 stories
281' ->324'
303 units -> 355 units
10,000 sf medical office space
25,000 sf health club

Maybe it's so the can revert to the old height as a "concession" to the NIMBYs (see: Old Town Canvas)?

Yeah that’s always my guess, but developers use that tactic when presenting their “dummy” proposal first…here, I think the opposite is happening, where maybe they are fairly confident that a taller development with a larger base would have a better chance at approval and acceptance.

This isn't a real proposal, it's a fan boy's wet dream.

I didn't realize 135 N Desplaines had gotten started.

Great news for parking lot haters like myself! And I love to see these smaller projects too, they add a nice fine grain among the massive highrise podiums.

^ Excellent news. For awhile I was getting worried they'd demolished that little italianate delicatessen for nothing!

I'm a major parking lot hater too haha. It's great to see lots of small-to-medium infill projects patching up the holes in the city's fabric.

Also, one more pic from yesterday-- 227 W Chicago:

Decent infill tower…but what I love most is the fact that the area between downtown and the United Center is filling in with more high rises, with even more to come in the next 10+ years.
