So quite a few non-market will open up within a short timeframe of one another!
- Raymur and Hastings
- Powel and Jackson (if I remember)
- Gore and Hastings
- Cordova and Main
- Columbia and Hastings
- 981 Davie (is that social housing?)
- Vienna House

Am I accurate? Is there more almost complete?

Passed by that today. They were putting up the frames for the second floor. Pretty slow for a plywood project.

Looks like they just started this May, I guess it won't complete until the end of next year.

- Raymur and Hastings is Ho'-kee-melh Kloshe Lum - 1015 East Hastings Street (near Raymur) by BC Housing, City of Vancouver and Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre. (image above)

- Powell and Jackson is Powell Horizons – 508 Powell (between Jackson and Princess) - Lookout Housing and Health Society recently completed. They have a smaller E Cordova building recently completed across the lane.

- Gore and Hastings is First United. (image above)

- Cordova and Main - could be Harbour Lights, the new Salvation Army hostel / social housing complex at 128 E Cordova, nearly complete.

- Columbia and Hastings would be 52 E Hastings, ALT Housing & Healing Centre (Lu'ma and RainCity) developed by BC Housing, Terra Housing, and Aboriginal Land Trust

- 981 Davie is social housing, developed by the Community Land Trust to be operated by McLaren Housing Society. (That's a bit further away from completion).

Vienna House will be run by More Than a Roof.

There are a few more for your list.

Ch’ich’iyúy at 401 Jackson, (460 E Hastings) Lu'ma Native Society, (image above)

Tung Sam Lau (177 W Pender) just completed; to be run by Atira for Community Land Trust/VAHA.

Chief Leonard George, 1766 Frances, a BC Indigenous Housing Society mass timber building, nearing completion.

The Ismaili tower at 1317 Richards is a social housing project.

There are Little Mountain social housing buildings being completed; one will be managed by More Than a Roof.

There’s a Soroptimist social housing project on West 13th (I think it's still to be completed), and also the social housing tower at Oakridge Park. The Community Land Trust have a 102 unit new co-op building on Vanness completing construction. Coal Harbour School residential is considered social housing – it will also be a co-op.

There may be more!

Probably because no private developer wants to invest in the area. It's not like it's getting any better down there.

Uneventful a hydrovac truck showed up and that's it.

EDIT: Looks like they were digging a trench from the street into the site. Might be related to the sewage pipes since it was a straight line into that pump station.

A building was demolished on the future senior housing site 1168-1180 E Hastings St

But the rezoning notification postcard was taken down on all 3 sites so I'm not sure what that implies

The vac truck was back along with a smaller excavator and another backhoe. They dug out another trench next to the last one they dug out. And then they were setting up some large trench boxes.

The 28 storey social housing / firehall / childcare tower at 75 Nelson (990 Beatty) is now being excavated. The piling rigs were working there until last week, so excavation started quickly.

Across the street there's still no signs of excavation for the 1050 Expo 29-storey social housing tower; (The gearwheel site). That had the perimeter piled months ago, but then filled the site in to grade. There seems to be some sort of site testing happening, so maybe there are contamination issues that they're trying to resolve without having to truck the soil to a remediation site (which would be more expensive). (Reminder; SFU Vancouver started this thread in 2010, and 1050 Expo was one of the sites that was in the list of 14 to be developed by the City / Province. All the other have been completed for years.)

1050 Expo seems to be waiting for the utility work for the COV pumphouse to be completed. They started the utility work in December and installed the large above ground bypass pipe in mid-February.

Also I don't think the perimeter piling is complete? From the timelapses they only did a partial section near the pumphouse
