There wasn’t any sign of the second building being started when I was by there a couple weeks ago. I’m going to have to poke around there tomorrow to check progress.

Carrington looks to start the second building in summer.

The first one already looks pretty tall at 16-storyes. The second building at 22-storeys is going to be one of the tallest buildings in the south end!

Saw this tonight for the first time heading north on Pembina Hwy, just coming up out of the underpass. Really stands out.

What’s being built just to the right of it (east side) in the last two pics? Is that townhouse portion or parking garage?

It's both.

I thought the townhouses were cancelled?

Oh I guess it was only some of them that were cut.

Phase 2 townhouses were cut and those units were added to the tower. That's why the second tower is 22 storeys.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before from the plan approval last September, tower 2 will have 2 restaurant/CRU spaces fronting Station Place along the parkade originally where the townhomes were designed; there will also be 2 other CRUs on the ground level of the tower facing Jubilee Station. Tower One has 3 CRUs.

Excellent news. I think this is the first of the TOD projects to have commercial units.

I like those buildings. A nice template for towers to be replicated across the city.

A few more in that area will look good.
Also, with some variation of course, Downtown on GRaham between Fort & SMith and Main St South between Wesley & Broadway east side . on the many empty concrete lots. Also west side for redevelopment from Graham to Broadway..

I like them too. Innocuous designs that will age well. No chintzy randomised/checkerboard cladding.

Both towers have numerous LED light saber strips, they will really stand out at night.

I thought I read someone on here (Biff?) say that these were set to be replicated on the east side of Fulton Grove, as well.

Maybe Marquess will get on it when he's through scamming every reserve he encounters
