On that same street, three major proposals are coming up;
1. Around the red brick convent on the park side (seen on the bottom two images images), the NCC and Civic Developments will propose a project that includes 6/19/29 floor buildings, with 600 units and 200 hotel rooms, preserving the original part of the convent:

2. In a block across the park, one block south from VIU (the two glass towers in the images), Okto- and Theia partners (who started Zibi as Windmill before splitting with them and later selling Zibi to Dream), are proposing 21/26/30 floors and 950 units, preserving a couple "Maisons Allumettes":

3. Across the Museum of Civilization, there's a 9 floor red brick Four Points hotel and a 5 storey rectory. The owner Brigil wants to add two towers of 30 and 45 floors. The project would include 1,000 units and 200 hotel rooms:

Unfortunately, locals and the local Councillor, who's part of the majority Action Gatineau Party, are opposed to such height, not realizing this means more green space, heritage preservation and set-backs from the streets.
