Red face TORONTO | 170 Roehampton Ave | 533 FT / 162.5 M | 50 FLOORS

Another tower has started in midtown Toronto, and despite the challenging market, it's gone ahead as a purpose built rental tower, as opposed to a condo which was considered in it's earliest incarnation. This is a 50 floor rental tower right on the north-west corner of Redpath and Roehampton, an 8 minute walk from Eglinton station. Long home to a co-ownership complex, the site was cleared last year and as of yesterday, the project is already rising, now at ground level.

Updates from AlbertC at UT. If everything planned for this area goes ahead, which it might in light of the new LRT, it will be insanely dense. steveve has a render somewhere, as does koops.

I'm curious to see how the material looks in real life compared to the renders. It has promise, but we all know how renders can turn out.
