Hopefully people-flow will even out once the North Office Tower opens next spring/summer and a few of the other retailers open up.
It would be nice if they could work with the city to somehow make the QE Theatre Plaza a more inviting place for people to take food they bought at the Post to.

More tables and chairs would be nice, but they would need to be secured to something so they don't disappear… currently they have some extra ones that are only put out for events.

They're splitting the restaurant space (I assume the Brazilian steakhouse) into two restaurant shell CRUs

A friend mentioned the last time they were in the atrium some of the retailer kiosks were empty. Did some businesses pull out or are they meant to be pop-ups?

There are only four kiosks in the main part of the atrium. Two in the central area are leased (Oakberry and Body Energy Club). The third was a Lee's Donut pop-up that opened in April 2024 and closed 13 months later - that kiosk is vacant at the moment. Starbucks is also open in the Atrium, and DeVille Coffee are in a linked area on one side.

That seems like a needlessly complicated system with too many failure opportunities…

If you look at the mechanical system contractor they are working on a lot of huge projects in the city so it makes you wonder if they can't get that right...

I wonder how long both Oakberry and Body Energy will last, similar product between both.

I definitely found it hard to follow.
I normally think it would be a tank connected to a generator. Period.

Would the Health Care Office be on the same level as the Evolve gym?

They said Evolve was #410 and that had an ancilliary health care office (seems like it's a bunch of chiropractors)

Doesn't seem like the same contractor that did the Evolve space.

Maybe this is the 42K sq space Telus Health took. Gensler did a Telus Health Care Centre in Calgary.

I'm just curious where there was a Level 3 with empty retail space.
If Evolve is on Level 4, that means CityMarket is on Level 3?
Maybe the converted space faces Hamilton St.?

The podium seems like it's up to level 4 and 5/6 is parking.

The north towers was Floors 5-22. Floors 5-21 for the south tower

Starbucks kiosk is 2, CityMarket was Level 3

So there's some empty space somewhere - probably on the Hamilton side as there isn't an obvious access point from "The Atrium".

They said it was around 40K.

The 4th floor looks slightly larger since there aren't those openings to the lower atrium.

Hard to see where a contiguous space that big would be.
There could be space fronting Dunsmuir (but not 40K sq ft)
The CityMarket goes deep on both sides.

Level 3:
You can see where CityMarket made an escalator one-way (next to the Starbucks) and an escalator was removed towards the north end of the atrium.

https://vancouver.ca/files/cov/349wgeorgiast-appendixc.pdf

Level 2:
There's supposed to be a down escalator at the north end of the Atrium to access the Food Court on Level 1,
with a view down to Level 1, but I think Deville Coffee is there.

Level 1:
Food court on the north (Dunsmuir) side of the block.
Also a restaurant space at the SE corner (2 storey? former Fogo de Chao space?).

They said Sony was on the 4th floor with ~50K square feet so not sure.

This article says the North/South tower had 32,500 and 34,500 floorplates.

EDIT: MCM has a pretty extensive case study on The Post redevelopment.

This image shows the usable space on level 4 I think.

Evolve could be just half a floor on Level 4.
But the Level 3 space is more chopped up at the edges.
