It was a killer weekend in Vancouver weather-wise. It looks like the rain will return next week.

We only got a light coating of non measurable snow when the cold front went through this afternoon in Moncton, but the temperature sure dipped - now -12C at 10 PM, going down to -18C tonight.

The cold snap will only last about 24 hours. Back up to +3C by Tuesday and +7C by Wednesday.

-18C (windchill -28) in Moncton at 9 AM and sunny, going up to -8C this afternoon.

+3C tomorrow and +8C on Wednesday, We are now in the early spring pattern of "Battle of the Air Masses", where temperatures can swing wildly on a day to day basis.

Tancredi would love this. He'd be on his porch eating popcorn and watching it all unfold........

Seems like this big hyped up "torch" that certain Toronto based blogs were claiming would bring 20 degree weather will not be as intense as the models were showing. Above average for a few days, with lots of rain, then back to below average by the middle of the month.

If March comes in below average, that would be my breaking point. Would make it 5 straight colder than normal months.

This morning, friggin cold. -14 when I left the house, going up to -5. Very sunny.

7 day: -5/1/5/5/8/11/10

Overcast and a bit breezy. Safely back in Lisbon. Passed by Coimbra on the way.

Hang in there Tancredi, it's going to be all right, new snow will return

Currently -1C in Moncton at noontime and sunny.

It was -18C at 7 AM, and the daily high this afternoon will be +3C.

Snow overnight, then rising to +8C later tomorrow, followed by another shot of cold air tomorrow night, then a protracted warm spell with temperatures rising to +9C.

I think I'm gonna get whiplash!

It must be maple sugar time...........

For Tancredi - near Geary in Sunbury County NB

Looks great, Have to wait another month before I get out there and Victoria.

Also Nice to see False Creak Rowing Club out. Nice to have flat water. We are still 2 months away from being on the water again.

-7 today here with new snow.

Another lovely one in Lisbon. Chilly in the breeze, but easily felt 25C around every corner.

One funny thing with the temperature anomalies is that the climate is warming, so hitting the old normal is a slight cold anomaly. A lot of stations warm by around 0.3 degrees a decade. The average of the 2020 normal period is 2005 so it's about 2 decades behind.

I'm surprised February was only +0.9 in Vancouver but February is barely winter here anyway, with March typically being overwhelmingly spring-like whereas around the country it's mostly either transitional or full-on winter still.

Only a skiff of snow overnight in Moncton, certainly less than a cm.

Now -1C at 8 AM, going up to +7C this afternoon. More melting on the way!!!
