Cold, corporate, 80s lobbies in Burnaby are head and shoulders above what you see for Southern Ontario's development. I still question the diminishing spacing and growing height of the towers in Burnaby as prime living despite the resort vibe vs people warehouse. Actual mixed use along main streets.

Ottawa's second tallest is about to be topped out, with the penthouse structure peaking out from the top. Odenak will be the tallest in the Downtown area at 120 meters (along with its 105 meter twin).

Here's a view from Bayview Station. The arena will be built between where I'm standing and the Odenak towers, along with nearly a dozen more towers, a few taller than Odenak.

Balcony railings are also going in along the podium. A closeup from me, and one from Pat on RFC Community Discord.

Although in Ottawa this will be one of the most prominent features on the skyline, hoggytime on Skyrise showed us how it would look amongst Calgary's towers. See the little purple towers .

What Vancouver does best: remove power lines.
The city has been running a program to remove its infamous H-frame poles since the mid 2010s.
Most developers also contribute by removing power lines in the vicinity of new construction projects.

This is one of the most recent to go near Trounce Alley, Abbott St.
