I noticed the property at 388 Main Street was bought up in January. I presume this may be a staging area for infinity since the building will take up all the land.

Soil sampling might mean a taller building than previously anticipated. I was presuming a clone of 25 Dominion. Perhaps ICON is considering something bigger.

True. The only hope for the Heritage property would be a change of ownership.

One would have to think that we'll hear something concrete regarding the Ashford land soon.

If memory serves me correctly, a clone 25 Dominion was within the original plans. This was pre-Avenir construction. Not sure the reason why they never completed it. Maybe the market was too soft back then.

There is some chatter over at Retail Talk & Share about 25 Dominion. Nothing firm in terms of rumours, but it does seem like something may be afoot.

I imagine anything larger than the existing 25 Dominion building would require a variance, so it will be interesting to keep an eye on PAC for the next several months.

If ICON proceeds here, what does this mean for the Infinity Tower?

I'm definitely getting the impression the market is cooling down quickly in Moncton (at least at the higher end), and, timing might not be right for a project as large as Infinity. Could ICON instead be looking at marking time for now with a smaller project at Dominion and Gordon???

A couple people on retail talk mentioned they heard 17… It would by far be cheaper to build here instead of the other side of downtown due to not having to pile drive nearly as much.

Hmmm........

No pile driving, but getting dangerously close to that tomato garden!!!

It's a narrow lot for a 17 storey building, but it is elongate, and, there is lots of room for substantial underground parking.

All this is highly speculative, but, where there is smoke, there is often a burning bush. It would be nice to see something substantial built here, but, not at the expense of the Infinity Tower. If ICON were to build this tall here, It would probably put Infinity off by at least 2-3 years.

And there could be an overlap at some point where they're working on both at the same time.

They were working on both buildings in Riverview, and they're both concrete construction. I think we'll know more when we see where the Riverview crane is relocated to.

They have the land. They could just hold on to it for a decade and concentrate on Moncton projects in the meantime.

After the disappointment of St. Bernard, Infinity not pushing through will be monumentally heartbreaking. Especially since we already had a couple scares it might not push through before.

If that’s true, it makes the reduction of St. Bernard a little easier to accept.
