Because the US team felt Hellebuyck was the most deserving. The saddest part is that the Democrats are so blinded in their hate of Trump, many of them didn't have the courtesy to stand in applause of the team. Such disrespect shown towards their country's athletes.
Speaking of Presidential medals and awards, I wonder if Tom Homan wears the Presidential Rank Award which was awarded to him by Barack Obama for his work in deporting people.
