-16 and heavy snow flurries. Looks like we get 2 days of warm then plunging again through the weekend. Long range is for some warming in14 days.

Very snowy and windy in Halifax. Lost count on how many nor’easters this has been this winter. 4 maybe? 5? Not sure.

Visibility is bad in blowing snow. The power outages have started: 45 outages affecting approx 4000 customers so far, most on the south shore, which will get hit hardest in this storm.

Tnacredi would be impressed!

Low of -7C (wind chill of -14) this morning.

The warmspot was Maple Creek, SK at 12.4C

Warmest low was Race Rocks, BC at 6.6C.

The forecast for Lisbon today is high of 18 and cloudy skies. Yesterday I believe we topped out around 21. We checked-out the British Cemetery yesterday and found some Canadian graves.

We received notice that our ship is fixed so it's off to Athens again in a couple of days.

SHH, nice pic of the roller skater. They've been performing on that street for years. Last year I saw them get their wig hair caught in their roller skates which pulled their wig off. The crowd cheered but based on the reaction of the skater, it wasn't part of the act.

Storm has passed in Fredericton and really did not get much accumulation. The winds were wild last night, and my roof is bare of snow. Though, it seemed to have all blown into my shed doorway. Still cold and windy today. High of -1 but the wind is biting.

we got over 30 cm in Moncton. This would have just been a typical nor'easter 20 years ago, but, this is probably the biggest storm in the last 4-5 years. Lots of large drifts. Winds still high with blowing snow and light flurry activity.

The city is cleaning up nicely, but some major highways (including TCH to Sackville and Highway 14 to Shediac) are closed due to poor visibility and whiteout conditions.

I got into work without any real difficulty.

Still lovely. Lots of sunny naps today. I'm fine with the hills - never need to break or anything like most others around me - but the sheer number of steps is still double my car-free life home. My legs and feet are sore.

The median snow depth is 6 cm but this year it's been around 20 cm for the month. It hasn't been that cold (mean temp -3), but if you look there's also medium to high wind gusts almost every day.

NYC got hit with 50 cm of snow and apparently Providence was 83 cm. To put things in perspective the average high right now for NYC would be around +7.

Interesting diversion of priorities: Lisbon has introduced many species of street trees that lose their leaves in winter, as opposed to the older varieties that don't. To me it seems bizarre to prefer that, but the locals enjoy getting more sunlight to the street and lower floors during the winter months.

=10C and sunny in Moncton at 9 AM, going up to -2C this afternoon.

Nothing major in the offing. A bit of a thaw over the next few days. Temperatures up to +4C, With the strength of the sun, spring is now inevitable, but, snow will remain a distinct risk until April 15th.
