It's bad, but still not as bad as Dollarama's branding:

PS I forgot I even posted that picture of Shoppers. How long ago was that from lol?

I found one of the ugliest newer build homes in Canada.

1421 Loudoun Road, Winnipeg
https://maps.app.goo.gl/dTc2twvq7qZf7vU26
Located in the SW section of the city south of Charleswood. Says built in 2015, roughly 5,400 sq ft, asking an absurd $4.5M

O-tac, what are those awful exterior panels called?

edit: just noticed the wine rack shown in video..in complete full sun exposure on the wall. Making Vinegar! haha

https://www.realtor.ca/real-estate/2...eg-charleswood

complete with one of the most obnoxious realtor videos. The interior looks better than the exterior lol

It looks institutional. Like a shitty new school where they splurged on an arched entrance while using the cheapest materials possible for the rest. It even has my most detested ubiquitous commercial and multi family material choice of hardie panels with metal, unpainted easy trim. Awful! 2/10.

from the video I noticed an odd quirk. The ensuite shower head is in the middle of the bathroom
going to assume cleverly hidden drains, but that's kinda oddball

In the video the bathroom is also shown with a sunken-into-the-floor tub around 1:39

It was built in 2015 and a decade later is up for sale. I wonder what happened?

what an unholy bastard child of at least two ugly parents (stuck together architectural styles: McMansion + Montana's Cookhouse + Institutional Ugly School/Clinic). There is absolutely nothing redeeming about that monster house.

What a bizarre bathroom. Is that a trap door under the middle-of-the-room shower head?

It looks like laminate floor in the shower? Laminate is not waterproof, so it might be something else. I think all of this fake barnboard, fake wood, fake stone, etc. is going to age just like fake 1970s wall paneling.

But why is there a glass enclosure behind it? Is this some kind of decontamination room or just meant for weird orgies?

Nope! Nope! Nope!

This has the cheapest possible exterior materials, irrational window placements that are the definition of design compromise from (probably) terrible client input and is overall the least innovative or well designed McMansion I have ever seen.

I think it's possibly this (AI description)
Quote:
Wood effect floor tiles are durable porcelain or ceramic planks that mimic the look and texture of natural wood, offering a moisture-resistant, scratch-resistant, and low-maintenance alternative ideal for high-traffic areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces. They are compatible with underfloor heating, do not require sealing, and provide a warm, aesthetic look that does not warp or rot like real wood.

With one long ass marble looking bench I'm assuming that's a steam room..
or orgy room

I don't even want to know what's behind that door now.

Next door to the former Toronto property of Prince, is this stucco beauty.

Re. that house above, once again, I submit a motion requiring that some university needs to complete a study on the psychology of people who design houses like that. Houses that are objectively ugly. Do those people really have no idea that they are creating a monstrosity? They are making something that reduces the value of what could have been?

I don't think this mansion is objectively ugly. It is an homage to neoclassical federalism. Is it a conspicuous display of opulence - absolutely!!! Is it ugly - not really........

The extra portico on the side of the main building is perhaps a little over the top.
