I haven't met many young people that are interested in having a roommate to split costs. I have worked with many the last few years - say 18 to 25, just out of high school, going to university, or just working one or two jobs. They complain about how hard it is to afford their apartment, I mention getting a roommate and they look at me like I have three eyes. Couldn't do that, they need their space to themselves, just can't imagine living with someone else.
