The 2014 Sobey's buying the Canadian stores from Safeway enabled Co-op to get back in the grocery business with 4 stores in Winnipeg. 3 of 4 are still in business. The Main and Luxton Co-op store was not able to renew its lease with Great West Realty Advisors and that location was a short lived Giant Tiger.

I am aware of 5 existing Red River Co-op full grocery stores....I have been to them all by chance. 1120 Grant Ave, 755 Sterling Lyon Pkwy, 77 Vermillion Rd, 3477 Pembina Hwy, 850 Dakota St.
According to my RRC sources in Management, They are looking to get back into North WInnipeg, likely to go where The eventual new Costco goes @ North Main & The perimeter.
All the other big players exist North either on McPhillips or Main. So, other than a new Large Safeway, medium one on McGregor and also Keewatin St.
Sobey's is on N Main and a huge newish Safeway exist in N Kildonan off Chief Peguis.
RRC is also looking for another couple locations eventually. West Winnipeg and another, likely South.
