Beautiful day. Calm and dry with some sunshine.

Well, there are more than a few other blooms and blossoms that are probably showing themselves right now.

I knew that would happen after we had a cold/dry spell followed by warm/wet followed by warm/sunny.
I'm currently on the lookout for crocuses, heather, witch hazel, camellias, hellebores and viburnum.

Double digit cold in the daylight. Uncommon and unacceptable lol

It feels considerably warmer than this out however.

I think I am more jealous at the lack of potholes than anything else.

The lack of temperature swings and road salt does seem to provide smoother streets lol. Calgary's roads are garbage at the best of times, so many freeze / thaw cycles during the winter.

The freeze/ that cycles in the last two weeks here have not been kind to the roads at all. Pot hole city. But that's pretty much unavoidable in this part of the world. Just have to keep at fixing it.

It basically feels like summer right now, 17, sunny and no wind! Lots of people out in shorts lol.

This might be the nicest winter day I've ever seen!

Amazing indeed!

It was 20.1 in Fort MacLeod, Alberta today.

And, under the sunshine, it was 16.4 in Abbotsford.

16.1 in Agassiz
14.4 in Pitt Meadows
13.8 in West Vancouver
13.5 in White Rock

Of course to be disappointing as usual, YVR was enshrouded in fog, and only hit 7.6. Luckily the fog seemed to be very localized.

13 degrees throughout Victoria.

I am dissappointed that we did not (and probably wont) get at the least our annual one day of snow on the ground here in Vancouver.

That's a Vancouver spectator sport. Grab a chair, some popcorn and take a seat to watch the mayhem. I used to live at Arbutus and W. 33rd; at the foot of hill on Arbutus as it heads-up to Kerrisdale. It was always interesting to watch the trolley buses attempt go up the hill.

-8C with a wind chill of -14 and sunny. Back to colder than average.

Low of -13C (wind chill of -20) this morning.

The warmspot was Fort Macleod. AB at 20.1C. Absolutely incredible weather.

Warmest low was Sartine Island, BC at 9.2C

Herbert Island, BC with an official low of 10.8C. First double digits low this year.

Only one city can be named pothole capital of the world...and it's not an Alberta one.

Oh yeah, I remember those potholes in Montreal back in the 1970's and 80's, from your statement Nicko999, sounds like asphalt innovation is not a thing, it is the same has it always was
