and yet here we are. That argument maybe made sense in the first Trump term, but there can be no more partial blame to go around in the US for Trump 2.0 - they all share the blame equally.

Including the ones who didn't bother to vote at all.

I know there was some people in the US that didn't bother voting because they thought "there's no way we'd let him in a 2nd time." I guess they weren't really paying attention to the polling.

The Red River Basin's Manitoba office is in the 2 level strip mall at Munroe Av at Panet Rd.

That puts in about 1/2 km from the western boundary of the Transcona ward. I wonder if it was in his ward he would have a different opinion.

It still is in the EKTranscona Community Committee area though but in the Elmwood EK ward.

Dealing with lots of Americans in business, most in my circle a) wish he were out and b) did not vote for him. However the reality is we can't wait 3 years (or even 2 years) so our leaders must actually talk to the folks on the other side of the border.

Whoa...PSPEID...I had to look that one up! As for who? That is really difficult to answer...it is really hard to be a pragmatic centrist in US politics...too liberal for the right and to conservative for the left. Best that our city councilors though stay out of this and concentrate on managing our city...IMHO.

Yeah... I too deal with mostly American clients for my job, and even that motion was bound to fail.

Those matters should be taken care of by the provincial and federal governments anyway. Wyatt should stick to his ward and municipal matters. We're lucky that we get to choose whether or not to travel anywhere in the world. Not doing anything is also a choice, and he needs to remember that too.

I find that very difficult to believe...

Of course, US residents with connections with Canada, and the international community are less likely to have voted Trump. People are underestimating how many of the American population does not ever travel outside the country. Many of them voted for Trump to get rid of the so-called "illegal migrants." A lot of them still support what ICE is doing, although the number is dwindling, as it starts to affect them personally, and the US economy in general.

However, it's not realistic to state that Americans "did not vote" since "there was no way he would be elected a second time." That is blatantly false.

Sad day for Elmwood residents. Roxy Lanes Bowling, which had been on Henderson for nearly a century, has been demolished. The MMF owns the land, and plans to turn it into a mixed 55-plus residential and commercial space.

Man, RIP.

I remember going there for an end of the year activity in middle school, and it would be my first time bowling ever, and it was at Roxy Lanes.

Good times.

On one of the community Facebook pages, there is at least one of the local businesses in the area complaining about the noise and the workers parking taking up her customers parking on Henderson and the side street.

They changed it to an LRT type system, which everyone clamours for. But everyone hates it.

Maybe it'd be cooler if it was a train you were getting on, instead of another bus.

At least it matches the rest of the complex now.

That was different though. Wasn't it. Kidthink? This is just a reclad replacing the gold with black. Finishing the work started years ago when the window units were replaced. They left mullions exposed.
