So I totally missed any announcement on this, and can't seem to find anything online. But what is going on with former Target building on Stavanger? A lot of activity at that site today and a lot of trailers, some of them Amazon trailers. Must be some sort of fulfillment center?

Re: HMP... is the moat , or "lazy river" really necessary? I know it is just a rendering but the optics just aren't right. $700 M and counting. Remember, Muskrat Falls was supposed to be $7 billion.

I believe that's supposed to be wet, shiny asphalt in front of the main entrance.

But I like the idea of a lazy river drop-off for inmates.

KMK submission for former Bally Hally Golf Course

Saw this on Reddit. There has been a submission to Council by KMK Capital to convert the former Bally Hally Golf Course into a large subdivision.

https://pub-stjohns.escribemeetings....ab=attachments

Reddit responses seem positive.

Looks like Pleasantville development will soon resume. Look up Canada Lands Company on facebook and there is a post about a drop-in event at the Legion next Thursday, Nov 20th on the next phase of development.

Nothing on their website except for this:

Phase 2 will be launched in late 2025, kicking off an exciting new stage of development. This Phase will offer opportunities for both non-profit and for-profit builder partners, encouraging a diverse and inclusive approach to creating a complete community

The apartment building on the old Max site on New Cove Road seems to have stalled. The building was leveled last year and now nothing. This seems to be the norm for just about anything in this city.
