You're all letting me down! Where are the pictures! I bet it looks super impressive, Toronto caked in 1.5-2 feet of snow. Tomorrow with the snow over and the City shut down, it'll probably be a pretty fun vibe.

My downstairs floor was surprisingly and painfully cold to walk on this morning. Not looking forward to going out in this.

-14C and light snow in Moncton at 8 AM. It's been snowing since 3 AM, but we've has only less than a cm of accumulation so far.

A long duration event. It won't taper off until tomorrow at noontime. A total of 20-30 cm is expected in the Moncton area. Just a typical winter storm for us, not Armageddon like in Toronto or Boston.

Toronto Pearson airport broke a one day record with 46 cm of accumulation yesterday; downtown reportedly got 56 cm.

The army wasn't called this time. People complain about the quality of services going down but, anecdotally, I actually find that snow removal has improved in the 20, or so, years that I've known Toronto.

I haven't gone downtown (why would I if I didn't have to?) today, but my little sidestreet is decently plowed. This comes less than a week after we received a 21 cm dump, with the temps consistently below freezing and nothing melting. 56 cm is hard on any city, but it's especially hard on a city like Toronto which is dense, has a lot of on-street parking, and nowhere to actually put snow. Most people clear their sidewalk by shoving the snow directly onto the street itself.

I’ve watched large parts of this video, and it’s simply stunning. Everything is muffled by the snow; it’s so relaxing and soothing. The city is already beautiful on its own, but when it’s blanketed in white, it takes on a truly magical feel. :saluti:

Currently -10 in YEG. Was -20 -17 all weekend but it was sunny. Parks were busy. Slight dusting of snow to cover the ice on the streets and sidewalks. Looks like we are going up to +6 this week.

Talking with my Brother in TO. He's a few blocks from St Pauls. and said even though they got a reported 60 cm the streets were clear by this morning and the city was working on the sidewalks.

Sun Rise 8:29am
Sunset 5:05 pm

Resolute NU, Sun has not yet past the horizon.

The calm after the storm today. I'm not sure how much snow we got, we remained unscathed until about 7 pm then got an incredible amount of snow in a span of 3 hours.

These were neat to see

Still cold, high of -7.7. I found a nice even spot to measure the snow, looks like a out 7 inches or 18 cm. We had 2 or 3 inches before the storm

There are two eagles nests down the road from me (sorry, it's a phone camera, but even with my DSLR my longest lens is 200mm))

Haha. I’ve hardly left home since it snowed. But went for a little walk yesterday and snapped these around the neighbourhood:

Well I tried. Don’t usually post pictures here so don’t know what I did wrong!

-12C with a wind chill of -18 and snowing. Light snow. Probably around 15 cm of accumulation including the overnight and last evening amount. Those pictures out of Toronto are incredible. It's true that there is a certain beauty to snowy cities. The cold... that's another story.

-17C (wind chill of -29) overnight and snowing.

The warmspot was Sandspit, BC at 9.3C.

Warmest low was Kindakun Rocks, BC at 7.2C.

A beauty and charm as people just go on with their daily lives.

Okay so all the forecasts I saw said 20-25 cm. What we got was at least double. There was that few hour stretch in the evening where you shoveled and then had a look an hour later and it was as if you never shoveled.

-10C (windchill -19) in Moncton at 10 AM. Skies are clearing after the storm. I would estimate a snowfall of 20 cm. Fluffy and not too difficult to clear.

The upcoming week will be a little unsettled and cold, but not too bad. There are some rumblings about another nor'easter next Monday, and some Facebook and YouTube weather forecasters are sounding apocalyptic, but, that's a good way to generate views. We'll see.
