I think it passes by in mid-2026 and then they finish the station roof etc.

Surrey Sprinter is also has the least number of segment to be installed, 900. So it should finish first.

Once it starts getting closer to Green Timbers it might be worth sending a drone to the guideway prefabrication plant to see if there's some really wide guideway segments.

Close up on the hydraulic jacks used for post tensioning the guideway segments together.

Same as the Green Timbers video from Dec 17th but longer video which I assume includes earlier sections of the guideway

In the not so good news department

Clayton Clipper Still Down After December Failure

The failure happened when one of the Clayton Clipper’s crossbeams fell over on its side on the guideway while being lifted by the hydraulic jacks, suffering extensive damage

Do I want to even ask how long this will delay construction and opening day?

Not an engineer, of course, but I would think that in a worst-case scenario, where the Clayton Clipper is out of service permanently, one of the other ones could be moved in as a replacement or mined for parts once their section is complete. It might slow completion of that section of the guideway, but the rest of the line could continue.

I guess they'll try to get replacement parts and repair it. It's not going through any stations (?) so it probably has the least impact on scheduling of all the gantries I guess.

There is a section at the bottom of the Clayton hill where they are building storage tracks and access to the works yard. I’m sure that adds quite a bit of complexity even without stations. The supports being built between the base of the hill and the Serpentine River looks like they would accommodate double guideways. Maybe even triple in some parts.

StainertheFirst has some aerial shots of the OMC5 area at the 7:50 mark.
He says up to 4 tracks wide.

On the bright side, there are no restrictions on night work in the Serpentine flats area. So they could hypothetically make it up with 24 hour work days.

Plus, there are no stations along it's section of the guideway so no interruption to station costruction.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see if they place double or triple sections of guideway side by side (by side)like what has been done in the past for areas with pocket tracks. Here's an example on the section between Lougheed and Braid by OMC4

As for the Clayton Clipper, I would suspect the delay is caused by the WorkSafe BC investigation. Those can take a while, and I'm sure the holidays have slowed things down.

It doesn't look like major damage and it's a common part so it shouldn't be too hard to repair it or get a new one. Fingers crossed it gets going soon!

Good news someone on Instagram said it's already back in action.

I just took the dog for a walk to check it out. It looks exactly the same as it did two weeks ago. The rear jacks are still missing, the front jacks still don’t have chains on them, and there are only two cross beams on the guideway, not three. The third one is still on the ground.

Okay I guess we'll see what happens.

152nd St. Station
From project twitter today.
Taken on December 3, 2025

Here’s a view of completed elevated guideway spans east of 152 Street Station from a different angle!
The yellow Surrey Sprinter can be seen in the distance as the specialized lifting machine moves west.
