The ongoing Windmill Road Functional Plan (
https://engagehalifax.ca/windmill-road) suggests that there will be 50k citizens living along the Windmill Rd. corridor at some point in our near future. Back when the fast ferry was more of certain thing it was obvious that Shannon Park would be an excellent location for a ferry terminal. It would also be an excellent location for an LRT station. Wright's Cove transit station would be about 800 metres away. Bussing to and throughout Burnside from this location would seem to be a good idea. Next likely stop would be the FGN of MMM. I wonder if a stand alone LRT bridge adjacent to a newly constructed MacKay would be cheaper?
