The developer of downtown Austin’s newest planned luxury condominium tower, Luminary, will unveil its floor plans and amenities when the sales center opens Thursday, January 23rd. The 35-story high-rise is the first in downtown Austin to begin the sales process in three years.

In the sales office, prospective buyers will be able to see renderings of Luminary’s more than 280 floor plans, amenity areas and replicas of a kitchen and bathroom, as well as meet members of the development team.

But at least it's not a glass box, and you can see each floor. So that's a plus.

Personally, I find the masonry podium with scalloped arches, plus the golden-yellow accents on the glass to be good-looking. This tower is more of a filler height, so it doesn't need to be outstanding. The simple box shape will be fine if the quality of the cladding does not get downgraded.

Its architect is Page, general contractor is Flintco, and marketing is Urbanspace, exactly the same folks who did the Modern.

Here’s the office building that was first proposed for the site.

Cool find! Guess that was a win. This would have spurred another major parking podium screenings discussion

The developer says this is on hold until market conditions are more stable.
