Sun broke out and 15c, so probably not helping the mountains for ski season over the break

Currently averaging about 10c this December, despite La Nina. I am guessing its the influence of the warmer than normal Pacific.

Is the warm weather ruining ski season on the coast a trend, or is this year an anomaly?

12 in Calgary today, temps start to dip tomorrow and will be very cold again by the weekend.

Temps up to +7 today. really sloppy out, But we had rain the other day and My car just melted. However by Friday our low is supposed to be -31.

A beautiful day yesterday to get into the Park. No Moose but plenty of Coyotes and Porcupines. And tracks from lots of little critters

Very mild across BC today!

15.1 in Abbotsford and Ashcroft.

15.2 in Pitt Meadows.

15.7 at YVR.

15.9 in Nanaimo (with a low of 10.6).

16.4 in Cowichan.

16.8 in Victoria.

And finally, it was 18.6 in Kamloops today under sunny skies.

That is a new record for the month of December.

Thanks! I've also seen a couple rhodos tentatively putting out flowers and more surprisingly a California Lilac with a few flowers. They're usually summer bloomers.

-8C with a wind chill of -15 and sunny. At least it was sunny. Still frigid. I am crossing my fingers that the worst of the winter is over. Could very well be considering the temperatures we experienced.

Low of -15C with a wind chill of -25 this morning.

The warmspot was Kamloops, BC at 18.6C. Record breaker today for BC. Several places with monthly all-time highs. Typical West-East divide. One is suffering, the other is enjoying.

Warmest low was Pitt Meadows, BC at 10.7C.

Looks like a true blizzard out tonight. +7°C for a high and then hitting -18°C by sunrise. Winds anywhere between 50-70 km/h (faster down south) and it looks like we will be getting more snow than down south. 15-25 cm expected somewhere on the Yellowhead, although we can expect anything between 2 to 15 cm of snow. Who knows.

Last year wasn't great either. The mountains did end up getting a decent dump late in the year, but it was nothing like years past.

It was a dynamic weather day around downtown Vancouver. After a rainy morning, the later afternoon was sunny and windy.

Monday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 15 C, the low was 9 C.

A bit of a warm-up coming tomorrow into Friday. We may get to +10C or so on Friday with rain.

Crazy wind and lots of rain for about an hour last night, some trees down and lots of ice everywhere. Great day to cycle with studded tires!

It's definitely milder this year. Cypress Mountain will have its latest opening ever.

Light snow and freezing rain last night. Just after I got rid of all the ice from the freezing rain on the weekend. was -6 this morning but now -14. Have a snow fall warning in effect now. Up to 20cm could fall.

That will be our biggest snow fall so far this season.

Which means snowshoes on the trails instead of a bike for a few days. Other than that its sunny right now.

Yes it will be nice to have the Petes, Logarithmic, the Meadows, etc done. Interesting BDSM is not on the list.

I wished we could get the Snowdog out to Lois Hole. There are more trails opening in the area and could use a kick start. This snow this week will make the riding a bit tougher until it gets tracked in.

I haven't checked out Devon yet but they have a Snow Dog as well. And I believe Ft Sask has one.
