Presumably yes. There are others -- Square One notably (ex-Woolco). I have also been to one at a mall in Dorval, QC (Dorval Gardens) that is in a former Pascals. Walmart spent 30ish years after buying Woolco getting out of the various mall-based locations Woolco had and is now, interestingly, seemingly open to reversing course.

Yeah...there was also a Woolco that became a Walmart in Saint John, N.B. at Loch Lomond Mall (now Place), and when Walmart left that mall on Nov. 10, 1999, the mall started it's collapse.

Oh, and yesterday, I was in a car and saw that work is beginning on that former Sears for it's conversion. It was the side of that building facing Fortinos that I witnessed that.

Walmart will open on November 19th. In addition the popular Filipino fast food chain Jollibee will open at the mall in the spring, it will have counter service with indoor seating and a seasonal outdoor patio.

Someone at Reddit said that Walmart's arrival to Lime Ridge Mall will, according to that poster, and to para-phrase, 'hollow out and become an overglorified Jackson Square'.

Is that a pessimistic viewpoint?

I think Jackson Square would love to land a Walmart at this point.

Yeah, and watch the fur fly from the entire Downtown retail business community in their massive opposition to such a move. Can you say the words 'mass riot'?
