Today was sunny with some cloud in Vancouver, about 6°C but nice enough for a late afternoon walk.

1C and snowy. Light accumulation in the early part of the day then it warmed up and everything is melting now. It's 3C outside.

Low of -4C (wind chill of -7) last night.

The warmspot was Kindakun Rocks, BC at 9.9C. It's actually the temperature right now.

Warmest low was Cumshewa Island, BC at 7.8C

How is it that all these uninhabited rocks and islets off the coast of BC have weather stations where there are many towns and villages in the ROC that don't have any???

I just looked Kindakun up - It's off the west coast of Haida Gwaii. No one lives there.

+2C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 8 AM. Winter arrives tomorrow afternoon with a nor'easter coming up the coast. We may get 15 cm of snow here. I think inland areas of NS may get more than us.

I'm sure Tancredi will have his popcorn out, watching the fun on all the Atlantic Canadian webcams.

Oh it was dark here this morning. The rain was coming down in sheets and I was happy to be retired and have no reason to go outside. The clouds are thinning out now and the sun is powering through. It was 9 earlier this morning but now it's 8. We'll drop to 0 by midnight and minus 7 by 5 am tomorrow before temps recover to plus 3 tomorrow afternoon. It's that plus 3 that is forecast to keep us in the rain during the coming nor'easter.

Supposed to be 0 today then dropping to -9 overnight. Pogo stick weather. -6 to 0 then down to -18 then up to -3 this week. Flurries on the warm days.

-9 but sunny this weekend. Finally got by Christmas lights up. (Always do them when its cold).

Thanks, more around E 10th - 12th Ave area, between Fraser & Woodland, etc. The Broadway Plan will probably change this area a lot, some character houses are already slated or available for redevelopment, including that red storefront building.

Supposedly because of the rugged terrain, mountains, long inlets, which can cause variable weather. But there are many on the East Coast too.

Today is considered the start of meteorological winter. Pretty wild and active weather happening all across Southern Ontario. In Etobicoke, there is nothing on the ground - head west on the QEW for 40 minutes and Hamilton has over 20 cm of accumulation on the ground.

A little bit of snow in the forecast for Toronto early tomorrow morning, no more than 5 cm. Long term outlook is below average for the next few weeks and active storm tracks. Could be our most winter like December in a long time.

Currently -3, overcast and calm. Below average and feels more like late January than December 1st.

Rain. Blizzard potential for Wednesday but likely to be mostly rain throughout for us.

-6C with a wind chill of -13 and sunny. WTF???
I just cannot believe what I am seeing.
Of course only one small below average area in November on the continent and we are centered around it. Looks pale compared to the MONSTRUOSITY that is coming. Considering we might not see above freezing temperatures for quite some times, the history books will be re-written (it is still early December)

As always, I will enjoy the show, even if only remotely.

-7C and mostly cloudy in Moncton at 11 AM.

Periods of snow begin about 3 PM with the heaviest precipitation overnight. Probably about 15 cm expected. Not catastrophic, but, the long range forecast is for below zero weather to continue. I fear this is the true start to winter.
