-1C with a wind chill of -8 and overcast. Some flurries. After a 2-3 day pause, the crappy weather continues.

Low of -2C (wind chill of -7) this morning.

The warmspot was White Rock, BC at 13.1C.

Warmest low was a three way tie between Pam Rocks, Race Rocks and Discovery Island, BC at 8.2C.

The storm currently ravaging the US midwest will arrive here on Tuesday as a rainstorm.

Unfortunately, it will be followed in short order by a Texas low that will sweep up the east coast and become a snow event for us. It sounds like this will be a snow event with maybe 20-30 cm or so - our first big snowfall of the year.

I see Vancouver is forecast to get down to a low of 1 tonight. After that it warms up slightly so maybe we’ll make it into mid-December before we join the list!

If the forecast is a low of 1, that means YVR has a 90% chance of freezing, while Harbour Centre has a 90% chance of not freezing.

Vancouver was mostly cloudy today, the high was around 7°C. The forecast low tonight at YVR is 3°C.

Today is the most winter-like I've felt yet this season. Biting wind and things are hard, there's icy patches on the street, etc.

Raw sewage has been pouring out of this crackhouse with every flush for weeks lol

I think the Department of Health needs to be informed SHH, especially considering the "qualities" of the people responsible for the flushing. There could be lots of disease in that runoff.......

Yesterday was nice, sunny and calm but quite cold with a high of only 1.5 and low of -6. It was windy as hell on Friday, and again today. We got 6.5mm of rain overnight here, everywhere inland got snow squalls. It was 4 degrees this morning, but now dropping and expected to get very cold overnight.

Came across this map on Reddit and Facebook, they should have included Victoria on the southern tip of Vancouver Island which would have fit into the very top left of the map as plenty of Americans would have now clue where its located. It's funny how the ident leading to Puget Sound and Seattle is almost a shadow of Vancouver Island above it. Sorry for the large size, just the way it comes:

The high winds a couple days ago produced a seiche in Lake Erie, uncovering an 1800s shipwreck off Kingsville. This happens a couple times each year. The high winds push water from the west end of the lake to the east end of the lake, dropping water levels by several feet on the west end and causing flooding at the east end.

Vancouver Harbour low +1.8.

Also, this is the time of year where looking at the Okanagan and other interior webcams is fascinating. Valley bottoms, no snow, but just up the hills, tons of snow.

The YVR forecast didn't show it that low, only 2C, so this is from a different weather station?

Oh, now I see it did, I was looking at the wrong page.
