Yes, I was also surprised by that 1300-1400 number but after checking I see The Vistas has a decent sized 1br (780sq ft) at 1250 and smaller 1BR's (620) where they don't show a price.

Interesting to read 13 floors and that the street level is still intended as commercial.

They finished laying the floor components today around lunchtime; by my count, that was just 4.5 working days for this level. We could see the next level before the end of the week, if not Monday. I believe this will be the first without the brick facade.

And a clear indicator which of the 4 renderings is the actual one. If there are balconies, we’ll know it right away.

So far everything looks very similar to the rendering from the Strescon/OSCO newsletter, so I'd bet that we see that continue.

Yes, I foresee it looking exactly like this at this point. I only pray for the removal of the horrific logos at the top.

So basically the Admiral Beatty with a tutone colour scheme......about as imaginative and innovative as serving turkey for Thanksgiving.

As for no balconies......that's because balconies aren't a thing here in 1925.

Agreed... Design is pretty boring! If you look close at the widows on the first floor. Do they have a protective barrier system on them to prevent B&E or vandalism? if so, that's a little much. I suppose it is King Square, and not the best part of town anymore.

Oh, no doubt Waterloo wins the prize but King St from Germain St up to Charlotte, King's Sq and the Loyalist burial ground are all pretty sketchy these days

Sketchy might be a bit much, thankfully, it has enough foot traffic for most people not to be too worried. The Tim Horton's and the bus stop get some interesting characters, though.

My favourites are the crowd that gather around one of the monuments in King's Square playing wrap music and vaping.

it may just be the photo but the colour is less a creamy sandstone and more of a grey than I expected. At this point I'm getting college dorm vibes from the look.

Yeah, while the concrete is functional, it is pretty ugly. It reminds me of concrete barricades.

On the bright side, they are moving at an excellent pace now. It could be topped out by February/March with good weather.

I just walked past on King St. and can say that this photo is a bit misleading, the new panels are exactly the same colour as the sandstone-look trim from the lower levels.
