Landscaping out at the east reservoirs. 100 kW solar installed.

Still filling in basement at Albert & 11th, better lighting conditions today. Fairly big expansion out at the gas station on Pinkie Road.

No work going on at the new Costco, and less equipment there. So maybe that contractor is done and the site will be idle until the structural contractor moves in. Still a bunch of pipe and it is in the area where the gas station is going. Might need to wait for fuel tanks before digging up that area.

Video of the east reservoirs, flock of birds flew in front of me twice near the start: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwxxxPgdZyU

Zoning application up for new joint use school north of the towns. Just rezoning at this point, I wouldn't expect another school to start until 2027 when construction on the Harbour Landing one is near completion. Of course they're going to slap it right on Arens so another arterial road gets a school zone.

Not very nice today but didn't want to waste one of the few above freezing ones left. Ronald McDonald house exterior framing nearly complete. Installing a tower crane at the long term care site. Coopertown land servicing starting.

That's surprising considering on Saturday it looked finished, just a little asphalt needed at the hotel entrance. Maybe they want to get the traffic lights up first.

they were installing the railroad crossing arms on Saturday/Sunday.

They were laying out the traffic lights yesterday, looks like they are ready to mount them today.

Regina city council approves new housing options, discusses encampment strategy
By Sierra D'Souza Butts
Published: November 19, 2025 at 6:55PM EST

Regina’s city council has moved forward with plans to build a multi-family residential building, along with permitting manufactured homes across the city.

At Wednesday’s meeting, council unanimously approved rezoning 2571 Broad Street, the former Canadian Blood Services building, from institutional to residential high-rise to accommodate construction for an apartment building.
There is a photo of the high rise in the story

I think the photo you are talking about in the story is the partially completed apartment in North Central that ran out of public/private funding and is sitting, waiting to be completed.

I checked out Dewdney while heading east. One of the roads with no left turns is getting pedestrian lights in addition to the two roads with traffic lights. Glen Elm demolition complete, no equipment left on site. I don't think they dug up the water / sewer at Glen Elm, maybe they just remove whatever is in the way when it comes time to redevelop the site. Arens extension not open yet, street lights starting to go up, looks like all the bases are in, but they weren't working it today. Hydroseeded the hill in the new Eastbrook park.

Putting in the second last piece of pipe north of the creek in AE Wilson while I was there. Work at the wood rail bridge is pile driving steel columns.

They may have put the wrong photo in. I’m not sure what high-rise they’re talking about here.

5 storeys is a high-rise for zoning purposes.

Pile driving columns. Not sure if its reinforcement or replacement of the wood supports. Some photos in this album. https://www.flickr.com/photos/regina...7720325361754/

From what I understand from my parents, it's mainly replacement after that derail episode last year. The wood supports are apparently super old, even older than my parents, and they were born in the 50s

They're really dragging their collective ass getting Dewdney open. Did they forget to order the traffic lights or something? The city website is completely and utterly useless when it comes to updates.
