Infinity should be spectacular. It would be great if ICON could purchase the large lot next door and create a nice cluster of mixed use buildings in this zone. The riverfront plan shows the vacant land across Main Street as being developed. This area of downtown Moncton could be a thriving neighbourhood some day.

I have a friend that works at this site, it sounds like they have a very interesting mechanism for paying the contractors that work there. Its not a world I entirely understand so I am not sure how common this is.
its basically task driven, the more tasks you get done, the higher your hourly wages are. So if you are drywalling a certain number of areas and you hit your targets you can make $30 an hour instead of $25. (these are just made up numbers, but you get the idea). At the same time if you are a younger worker who is inexperienced you still get paid but you may not be in reach of those higher numbers but you will still get work. Everything is well documented on who is assigned what task, so there is a lot of accountability that happens without that much needing to be said. Based on this mechanism to motivate the staff I can see why they are a well oiled machine. I expect much of these same contractors will get offers to go to the infinity tower.
